Dr. Dan Ebert, Professor of Biblical Studies, has resigned from his position at Cedarville. Ebert joins recent departures Dr. Aaron James and Dr. David Mills, both of whom announced their resignations in the past week. Ebert was commended by past students for his excellent teaching in classes such as World Religions and Religion and Culture. He does not presently have a new job lined up.
When asked about his decision to leave, Ebert said the following:
Over the past five years, my wife and I had come to feel at home at Cedarville. I leave with many wonderful memories of students and colleagues. My own life has been forever changed and deepened. I am so proud of the many students that have been such an important part of my life, and pray the Lord continues to lead all of you with wisdom, grace, and a continued sense of justice.
Ebert's departure leaves the university with 27 Bible class sections that currently have no professor, according to the online course catalog. Fall classes begin in just thirteen days.
